Prehealth Advising Program in the Sciences Advising Office
Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry, Veterinary, Physical
Therapy, Pharmacy
If you are interested in a health-care profession, join the intensive prehealth advising program when you enroll at WSU.
Advisors will help you select an appropriate major that
fits your particular interests and will assist you in
arranging your course schedule to include all the courses
required by medical, dental and other professional
health-care schools. If you opt for a non-science major,
it is especially important to seek assistance from the
Prehealth Advising Program early in order to optimize
course choices. Your prehealth advisor will help you
choose the courses you need to succeed.
The Prehealth Advising Program can also help you get the
experiences you need to become a strong candidate
for professional health-care schools. The prehealth
advisors can help you improve your interview skills via
mock interviews, provide assistance arranging
internships, and arrange opportunities to volunteer
at Pullman Regional Hospital.
Other resources available at the Sciences
Advising Office include:
-
Study materials for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) and Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT).
-
Books detailing admission requirements at medical, dental and other professional schools.
Call 335-4549 if you would like to meet with one of our
advisors.
